Fast and convenient, the GURU W-S BOARD reduces drastically the building time of a shower by having a WATER-STOP layer factory-bonded to a XPS foam. It is a unique development duo to the overlapping of the WATERSTOP – it makes banding no needed anymore. XPS core with a factory bonded layer bigger WATER-STOP (plastic film (EVA C) with non-woven synthetic fibers) layer which creates a flange. Installation: To be screwed in wood studs or adhered to substrate with thin set."

GURU W-S BOARD is a DRYWALL construction panel with waterproofing included for tile coverings, perfect for waterproofing or building new interior spaces: walls, ceilings, partitions, bathrooms, showers… It can be installed on wooden structures or metal profiles for drywall partitions (plasterboard type) to create a new partition or on the existing partitions themselves to level the irregularities of the walls for the subsequent installation of ceramic tiles and also to waterproof.

Another of its most common uses could be for renovations, installing the panel directly on the old ceramic to later install the new coating on a completely smooth, plumb and uniform surface. The GURU W-S BOARD is composed of an extruded polystyrene foam panel bonded to the WATER STOP waterproofing sheet to achieve a total bond to the tile adhesive. In addition, this panel contains a unique functional improvement, since on two of its sides there is a 2-3″ overlap of WATER-STOP membrane to facilitate the sealing of the joint with the adjacent panels, achieving a single overlap between each of the panels, reducing the critical points.

In case you want to adapt the panel to a specific size or dimension, you can simply cut it with a cutter or a similar tool, without losing any of its properties. The grids, printed on the outside, are very useful for cutting and laying the panels quickly. Ceramic tiles are installed directly on GURU W-S BOARD by applying a thin layer of tile adhesive.
