Thin porcelain panel tools encompass a range of equipment tailored specifically for working with thin porcelain panels. This includes cutting tools such as diamond blades, precision saws and manual cutters, handling tools like trolleys, suction cups and edge grippers, and installation tools like leveling systems and tile spacers. These tools are used for various tasks, including cutting panels to size, handling and transporting panels safely, and ensuring precise installation.
Thin porcelain panels are incredibly thin and fragile compared to traditional ceramic tiles or stone slabs. As a result, they require delicate handling and precise cutting to avoid damage. Specialized tools are designed to work with the unique properties of thin porcelain panels, ensuring clean cuts, minimal breakage, and accurate installation. Using the wrong tools can lead to costly mistakes and compromise the integrity of the panels.
When selecting tools for working with thin porcelain panels, there are several factors to consider:

Cutting thin porcelain slabs requires precision and the right tools. A manual thin panel tile cutter or wet saw equipped with a diamond blade is typically used to make clean and precise cuts on thin porcelain slabs. Examples include the Pearl Abrasive VX5WV 5" Handheld Saw Kit, and the Rubi Tools SLIM CUTTER PLUS Thin Panel Tile Cutter Kit.
When you use an electric saw, cutting porcelain tiles wet is generally preferred, as it helps to reduce dust and heat generated during the cutting process. Using a wet saw with a continuous water flow helps to keep the blade cool and prevents overheating, resulting in cleaner cuts and prolonging the life of the blade.
Porcelain tiles are generally denser and harder than ceramic tiles, making them slightly more challenging to cut. However, with the right tools and techniques, cutting porcelain tiles can be accomplished efficiently and accurately.
Yes, porcelain tile can be cut using a grinder with a diamond blade. However, it's important to use the appropriate safety gear and follow proper techniques to ensure clean and accurate cuts.

Leverage a competitive advantage. Be a master craftsman.
• The perfect mix – every single time.
• Save time with more efficient process.
• Save your back with ergonomic design.
• Save your drill with tools designed for mixing.
Mixing jobs are part of the daily routine on any construction site. All too often professional mixing machines and mixing paddles are nowhere to be found. Tradesmen continue to struggle with a simple drill for complex mixing jobs instead of using a special hand-held power mixer.
A drill can certainly be adequate for mixing small volumes of mainly liquid materials at a low rpm, but when materials with higher viscosity or large mixing volumes have to be mixed a power drill should not be your first choice. Because a power drill is designed to drill in short bursts and not mix for long periods of time, they tend to quickly overheat and burnout. When using a power drill, the mixing time will increase with a higher physical strain on the user.
In comparison, with ordinary drills, Collomix mixers are specially designed for heavy loads generated during mixing. The drive elements supply enough power and sufficient cooling for the motor even under the heaviest of loads, and the special gear units guarantee a long life and optimum performance.
Because Collomix mixers are all designed ergonomically, the comfortable holding position and body posture make your work easier. The special machine power and rotational speed are in optimal balance for top-class mixing results and minimum physical strain on the user.
Collomix mixers also convert power into mixing action. The gear system and finely adjustable electronics of the Collomix paddle mixers provide maximum power at all time. Moreover, the ON/OFF switch has a safeguard for preventing unintentional start-up, while the speed is finely controlled by speed electronics.
Collomix mixers are powerful and wear-resistant with maximum power utilization and long service life - Count on it!
Pro Tip: The larger the mixing volume, the higher the viscosity of the mixing material, the lower the rpm and, as a consequence, the higher the drive power required.
Installing perfectly level large format tile has never been easier with MLT Leveling System!
MLT Ergonomic Gun now available for the low price of $99!
The MLT System allows for the installation of large-sized ceramic or stone tiles, on floors, walls and ceilings, ensuring a perfectly leveled tile surface with the use of a two component system with mechanical leveling adjustments. It ensures an excellent but above all technically correct aesthetic finish. The use of the system ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). MLT is both economical and respectful to the environment, indeed it is the first leveling system that is truly “green” as it is recyclable.
Unlike other leveling systems, MLT can be used with stone, porcelain and ceramic slabs with dimensions from 12" x 12" (30 x 30 cm) size and larger, with thicknesses from 1/8" (3 mm) to 3/4" (20 mm).
Yes, MLT has engineered a specific bottom plate for very thin tiles and slabs. This product is able to overcome problems related to installing thin panel tile. Thin panel plates are designed to ensure complete adhesive coverage between the material and the substrate.
MLT cost is low because the only non-reusable component is the bottom plate that remains in the tile adhesive after it has cured and been broken off. Caps and inserts can be reused again and again. The price of the straps is very reasonable compared to other systems.
The bottom plate of the straps are completely immersed due to the specific “fork” design that sinks into the adhesive instead of pushing it outside as other competitor products do.
Absolutely, and it can be used for ceilings as well! The MLT System works on walls with tiles quickly and easily; the bottom plates have special holes that attach to the ceiling. It is recommended to only use this system for thin tiles on ceilings.
Caps are made with materials that allow them to be used several hundreds of times, cutting down on material costs. The cap is made from strong nylon and the hook area between the cap and strap has been made to last long. If the caps or straps are worn out in the hook area, a double stainless steel thin sheet can be inserted in the relevant cap housing to further prolong their use.
Unlike the two-piece strap system, the T2 straps require no assembly before use. For this reason, the T2 straps are not reusable and break below the grout line.
While most other systems request that straps should be pre-soaked, when the MLT System is used this procedure is not required.
The patented hook system, allows the cap to be released even under tension with a simple lateral movement on the ergonomic gun. It is now possible to reposition the strap and the bottom plate and proceed with a new clamping. This procedure is not possible using competitor systems, since it would involve breaking the strap and disposing it together with the bottom plate.
To prevent scratches, the use of protective rubber is highly recommended when installing delicate materials.
